Better late than never.

I'm not sure what has taken me so long to get this project up and running, but I guess better late than never...right? My husband and I have been self-proclaimed "travel enthusiasts" for as long as I can remember. We've spent the majority of our 17+ years together camping, hiking, backpacking, and traveling across the US and Europe. From taking his Oldsmobile Aurora and an 8-person tent with a luxury raised queen air mattress to Cooks Forest for a weekend, to carrying 40 lbs. of gear on our backs for 5 days in the backcountry of the Grand Canyon...we've done it all. Don't get me wrong, we definitely enjoy some slower paced vacations like an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana or a wine tasting in Sedona, but we definitely prefer being on the trail. In 2021, we decided to sell our home and most of our belongings, and move into an expedition rig (named Rosie after Stephen's grandmother) to travel the US. It was one hell of an adventure, albeit a short one. Due to some recent professional obligations, we made the difficult decision to sell our rig. The next 2+ years will require travel back and forth to Europe (aw, shucks), hence the selling of Rosie. My purpose in creating this blog is not only to document lasting memories of our travels for my husband and I, but also for our friends and family who have asked us repeatedly to start a blog (sorry folks!) I also hope to encourage others to take the time to discover new places, to quite literally stop and smell the roses, and to take way too many pictures. It's no secret that this life is short - so why not live it to the fullest!
